Humans are allergic to change. They love to say,
‘We’ve always done it this way”.
I try to fight that.
That why I have a clock on my wall that runs counterclockwise.
Grace Hopper
Achoo.
God bless you.
You seem to be allergic to something.
Perhaps change?
But don’t worry, we’re all allergic. Change makes cowards of us all.
How long have you lived and settled like this? How long have you done the same thing to end up with the same thing, asking the same questions, scratching your head in ignorance.
But what did you expect?
Even if you got lucky and force a square peg into a round hole, all you’d have is a square peg in a round hole. Getting the right peg and finding the right hole requires a great deal of change. It demands openness. It calls for greater effort. In fact, change requires more than effort, it demands a fist fight, if not a coup or a bloody revolution.
So get ready for a fight.
Get ready to take back your dreams.
Wage war on yourself. Wage war on all the negative people in your life. Wage war on comfort.
Become an ally of change.
Why are you so uncomfortable with change anyway? Probably because we’ve been raised and humiliated by your mistakes. You probably hate math because you didn’t get those Great Job! stickers back in Kindergarten.
Whats with all the hatred?
And it has been like this for a very long time. Ever since you can probably remember and the monolithic wheels of our educational system, which has seen it’s best before date incidentally, makes sure of that.\
But there is a way out.
Change.
That’s the only way to break through.
So make peace with yourself.
Make peace your mistakes and all your acts of failure.
This is what you need.
Fight your hatred for being wrong and you’ll find your peg, or discover your hole.
Be at ease with the things might not work.
Let them come.
Don’t run and hide.
Fight it.
Fight the urge to stop and turn.
Fight the desire to be safe and comfort.
Don’t take pleasure in doing it the same way.
Run your life counterclockwise.
Be different.
Be strange.
Be happy.
