I am not sure where I would be today without the wonderful web and network of people that I’ve been blessed to connect with. I think who you know not only speaks about who you are but also indicates how far you’re going to go in life.

I am filled with tremendous gratitude this morning but it’s not just this morning. I take fifteen minutes every single day to look back on my day and my life. I begin with some really deep breaths for five minutes and then say out loud all of the things I am grateful for. There are a lot of names in there and some people seem to have a permanent fixture in my thoughts. It truly is amazing how much better my life is when I purposely remember all of the blessings in my life.

It’s so easy to get down in the dumps, especially when the cold dark days of winter come, but really, some people are miserable all year round regardless the weather. They only express it with a different intensity.

It’s so easy to get down but I have found over the last two years that it is a hell of a lot more difficult if you are constantly reminding yourself how great it is to be alive, at this moment in time, and with this network of people that we have gathered to ourselves.

I highly recommend you make this a daily exercise in your life. It cannot be some passive thought or fleeting feeling of gratitude but a disciplined calling out each and every day of all the people and all the things that make us smile.

Five minutes. That’s all it is, but what tremendous energy and reach do those five mutes carry with them.

I am so grateful for you reading this. I treasure your support and will be forever grateful that you’re in my life.
