If I had limited time and could teach only one thing, the lesson would be to never quit. It’s the only unforgivable sin, a dark place from which we can’t return. And I’m not talking about those times we tell ourselves that this is it, we are done with this, only to return when our emotions are running as high and we continue whatever we were doing. I’m talking about really quitting.

It’s the saddest thing you can ever do, to give up on on, give up on yourself, and give up on your dreams. It’s sad but understandable. Life is not easy. On every turn there is something else and something else. Life is full of twists and turns, ups and down, and in some peoples lives it storms far more than it should.

But quitting is the saddest thing. A place of no return but it doesn’t have to be that way.

It certainly doesn’t have to be that way. There is never a reason to quit because every day offers a new possibility to make things right if they went wrong, or to forget. When the sun rises again, and it always rises again, that moment is a new opportunity to try something new and to go in a different direction.

It’s amazing how beautiful and wonderful life is if we let it. Let it on life’s terms and not our owns. We are always asking things of life. We are praying for this thing or that, but in truth, it is life that demands us to answer her questions. It is God who demands to know how we like living and learning and growing.

Life is beautiful and if I can leave you with only one lesson it is to hold tight, take whatever time is needed but to never ever, and I mean ever give up. Giving up is never an option. Quitting is not for us. We were born champions. We were born incredible human beings and with a bit of time and some meaningful effort we can become who we were meant to be.

Glorious. Inquisitive. Joyful human beings.
