Don’t ever stop.
Certainly not when you feel tired or when you’re down. Or when you’re frustrated that you are not making any real traction. When you think to yourself that all of this is simply impossible, unattainable, and doomed to fail.
Don’t stop. Keep struggling. Keep moving those feet, even if you have to drag the along the ground for a little while.
It’s not all for naught and what you’re experiencing is what you’re suppose to be experiencing if you mean what you say, that you want to be a better person and realize your dreams. You’ve hit the spot in your journey where it is just as far to turn back than it is to keep going. But regardless of the fact that you cannot see your destination, it is most prudent that you keep going.
What happens to water at 50 degrees? Nothing. What happens at 80 degrees? Nothing. What about 95, 96, 97, 98, or 99 degrees celsius? Still nothing. But the bubbles rush to the surface, and the water begins to boil at exactly 100 degrees. The water gets hot but it doesn’t boil, and the same is true where you find yourself.
You’re somewhere in the middle of hot. The newness and excitement is gone. So are the encouraging words and the early effort. You are plugging away doing work other people never undertake, but if you stop, you’ll never bring your life or your project to a boil.
And it should boil.
Remember that there are only two acceptable outcomes in life. All researchers want to hear a yes or a no. They simply abhor maybe, as it forces them to try over and over again. Yes and no are the acceptable outcomes. Failure is a very acceptable outcome. It just hurts a lot and gets our feelings in a knot. But outside of something working out, a good, firm, solid no, gives us the chance to try again or if we’re out of our element, to give of our time somewhere else.
Don’t ever stop. Get your efforts to boil over. Get them whenever you can to reach one hundred degrees celsius because you owe it to yourself and to those that admire you to finish what you start.
But even more can be said for who you are.
You don’t have to do anything. The people that truly know you don’t want anything from you. You are free to become and change into whatever you imagine yourself to be. Now, if you don’t have those people in your life, you should feel free to become and change anyway. The people that love you want the best for you, but they may not know what you mean or see, until your bring yourself to a boil. They will see you for who you are when you reach where you mean to go, so don’t stop until you get there.
Don’t ever stop.
Make no compromises.
Breathe. Yes. Walk away for a while. Yes. Adjust. Absolutely. But never, ever walk away until you see those bubbles of your dreams rise to the surface.
Don’t stop until you embrace success or failure.
