Hooray to a new week and thank God it’s Monday.
I may be one of the few people that really loves Monday, mostly because I love to plan what really needs to get done this week. The more you plan, the more you’ll avoid rabbit holes that will take you away from your dreams.
Nutrition wise, the week was a success. I am down a pound but I really don’t feel like I’ve done anything special to achieve it. We ate out at a restaurant a time or two and I still had some delicious baguette on occasion. On the other hand I have lowered my portions and am making better food choices, although it may not be for the whole day. I definitely got rid of Coke and Beer and switched to water and Coke Zero. My aim is the long run. Not exciting, but doable.
Weight training wise I have been once and then nothing. I could beat myself up over this but realistically with a couple of small kids in the house and photography priorities I need to get to, it is being put on the back burner for the moment. I could have done better but unless I wake up at 4am in the morning, the gym is a very difficult place to find the time for. I’m not making excuses. I’m just saying I have chose time and time again to invest my time elsewhere. I am not happy about it but I know September is coming and my weight training routine can be had once again.
Writing and editing is at a stand still, except for these journal entries and my weekly quintessential quotable. I am currently on Volume 7 and it will be done in a couple of weeks. I made a commitment to twelve of them and I’ll be damned if I quit until I see this through.
My photography dreams have taken over my life at the moment and rightly so. It is a gift I don’t want to be diminished and it is one that stands to make me a higher income at this moment than obscure writing by an unknown author.
I’m off to Michigan this weekend to watch cards go left and sip on a beer or two or a dozen. I will not be writing during that time, but I shall resume shortly thereafter. I just can’t help myself.
If you haven’t planned your week. Go to it. Write down at least seven to ten things you want to get done this week. Things that will make your pursuit of your dreams easier or render something unnecessary giving you more time to do something else.
Happy Monday. See you tomorrow.
