I can’t believe how cold it is and that winter has snuck up on me when I wasn’t looking. The seasonal temperatures for this time of year are around eight degrees Celsius, but this morning my car dash read fourteen below zero and I’m not one to agree with cars, but my car is right. It is damn cold out there.

But it’s not about how cold it is, is it?

No. What’s more important is what are we going to do with it or about it? That is the more important questions and that is always the more important question when it comes to our own lives.

You see, the weather, or whatever is raging or mildly blowing through your life is there because nature and circumstance has made it so and there is nothing that we can do about it, except accept it and do something magical anyway.

We don’t need a lot as people do be magnificent. Much has been created with only seven notes and twenty six letters of the alphabet. Time and time again people do so much with less. Anne Frank for example wrote one of the most beautiful books of the twentieth century as a teenage girl who was hiding from the Nazi’s in an attic. Think about that for a moment? If you want to be a writer, or something else for that matter, what attic are you stuck in? What winter weather are you complaining about?

Isn’t it time to be human?

Let’s be human together and do what we do best, warm up the world with who we truly are.
